On September 28, the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union (KTU) held a book concert to commemorate the publication of the “Republic of Korea Social Studies Textbook” at the Lawyers’ Association Building in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
This book covers modern and contemporary history of Korea, and organizes important historical events in our country in an easy-to-understand manner for students. The authors explained the background of the publication, saying, “We created this book with the hope that it will help understand Korea’s past and present, and provide important wisdom for solving future problems.”
In particular, the last chapter ends with the title “Republic of Korea Moving Toward Unification,” and contains historical facts and content related to why unification is important. This book is very meaningful because it raises interest in unification and contains content that informs us of the necessity of unification.
We have signed a business agreement with the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union to work together for the next generation of unified education that we want. We sincerely congratulate you on this publication, and we will continue to support the activities of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union.
