CEO Kim Gyu-heun, known as the “Korean Confectionery President” in the Korean confectionery industry, was designated as a national Korean confectionery master in 2005 and was selected as the first Korean confectionery master in 2013. Dreaming of globalizing Korean confectionery, he maintains the essence of traditional Korean confectionery while constantly researching and developing new flavors, nutrition, shapes, and packaging.

Born in Yesan, South Chungcheong Province, he learned the traditional window making method from Mr. Jo Chan-hyung for 10 years from the age of 17. In 1981, he founded Seongsim Art Park and began his full-fledged traditional window making activities. He is making windows for palaces, temples, and traditional Korean houses. Changdeokgung Injeongjeon is his representative work. He is currently concentrating his efforts on his works and nurturing the next generation, and he founded Cheongwonsanbang to devote his passion to the development and popularization of traditional windows.

Leeum Museum of Art

Leeum is the only art museum in Korea where you can appreciate works of art ranging from our ancient art to modern art from around the world in one space. You can also see cities and architecture, traditional and modern Korean art, and contemporary foreign modern art all at once. It is a cultural space where you can shed light on the future direction and meaning of Korean art in the context of the global art scene.

National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul

The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art is the only national modern art museum in Korea boasting a history of half a century. It aims to be an art museum that opens with ‘expansion and connection’, and has entered the era of 10,000 pieces of art collection with the large donation of the Lee Kun-hee Collection. It also spurred the art Korean Wave project to increase the presence of Korean modern art in the world.

The largest exhibition featuring over 1,000 works. In addition to drawings, objects, illustrations, costumes, and collaboration works, this large-scale special exhibition contains everything about Yuko Higuchi, including objects such as dolls, mini-books, and costumes created by various artists.

Detachment and Flow: Transformed Beings

Participating artists: Lee Eun-woo, Siji-ui, Andaeun Ahn, 3-person exhibition.

The works of the three artists have ‘transformation’ as their main motif, and they deconstruct and reconstruct nature, lines, and the flow of memory with their own visual language.

Wichang O Se-chang: Appreciation and Near-Death Retrieval of the Gansong Collection

To celebrate the 160th anniversary of the birth of Wichang Oh Se-chang, who had a great influence on the Gansong Collection, we will present the representative Gansong Collection revealed with his outstanding insight and appreciation, along with three <Geunyeokhwahwi> collections of paintings by Korean calligraphers and painters from all over the world, which mark the history of Korean painting from the Goryeo Dynasty to the modern era.

As the founder of the chiaroscuro technique that maximizes the contrast between light and darkness, we highlight the works of Caravaggio, who announced the beginning of 17th century Baroque art through realism. This exhibition, which brings together 10 of Caravaggio's world-renowned works in one place, is the first in Korea and the largest in Asia, providing an opportunity to follow Caravaggio's life and explore the process of his unique world of works becoming deeper.
